This policy applies to all international orders placed through the Online Shop of www.tsurugi.co.jp.
1. International Orders
TSURUGI INC. ships worldwide from Japan. When placing an international order, the customer acknowledges that the shipment may be subject to customs procedures, inspections, and regulations in the destination country.
2. Import Duties, Taxes & Fees
Import duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, and other related charges are determined by the destination country’s authorities. These charges are:
- Not included in product price
- Not included in shipping cost
- The responsibility of the customer
We recommend contacting your local customs office for information prior to placing an order.
3. Customs Processing Time
Customs clearance times vary by country and are outside our control. We are not responsible for delays caused by: customs inspection, regulatory review, or government procedures. Transit times shown at checkout are estimates only.
4. Product Restrictions
Each country has its own regulations regarding: personal wellness products, supplements, cosmetics, and used goods. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that ordered products are permitted for import into their country. If you are unsure, please contact us before placing your order.
5. Customs Refusal or Seizure
If a parcel is refused by customs, returned due to import restrictions, not cleared due to missing documentation, or abandoned by the recipient, the following applies:
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable
- Any return shipping charges imposed by the carrier will be deducted from the refund
- Refund (if applicable) will be processed only after the parcel is received back at our warehouse
If a parcel is seized or destroyed by customs authorities, no refund will be issued.
6. Customer Cooperation
In some cases, customs authorities may require additional information from the recipient. Failure to respond to customs inquiries may result in return or disposal of the shipment.
7. Address Accuracy
Customers must ensure that shipping details are accurate and complete. We are not responsible for delays or additional fees caused by incorrect address information.
8. Our Commitment
We provide accurate commercial invoices, declare goods according to Japanese export regulations, and assist with documentation where reasonably possible. We are committed to helping customers resolve customs matters when possible.
